Steven D. Brown

Spencer - Steven D. Brown, 59, of Spencer, died on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Harrington Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Ware, on August 1, 1960, son of the late Robert G. Brown and Claire M. (Gibson) Brown. 

He leaves his loving wife, Suzanne (Sottile) Brown of Spencer and his beloved daughter, Samantha Brown of Fairfax, VA; three brothers, Robert and his wife Robin, Brien and his wife Kathy and Daryl and his partner Barbara; his two sisters, Sandra Vray and her husband Fran, and Darlene Nykiel and her husband Frank. He was pre-deceased by his brother Glenn. Steve also leaves behind aunts, uncles, 15 nieces and nephews, and 14 great-nieces and nephews.

He attended Tantasqua Regional High School, and graduated from North Brookfield Jr./Sr. High School.  Steve began working at the former IGA grocery store, then spent several years at Quabaug Rubber Company before choosing a career in carpentry with the Antanavica Construction Company.

Steve was a loving and devoted husband and father.  He enjoyed his family, camping, and was an avid fan of New England sports teams. He loved working with wood and took great pride in his projects. Steve was also a long-time member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #41.

He will long be remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humor and witty sarcasm.
