Albert W. Dow

Ware - Albert W. Dow, 91, of Ware, died on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Baystate Wing Hospital.

He leaves his wife of 70 years, Elizabeth A. (Hoefer) Dow; his daughters, Debra Drauschke of Andover, Anita Sweet and her husband Timothy of Burlington, MA, Cheryl Gamrecki and husband Richy of Manchester, NH, and Linda M. Tenney of Ware, MA. Albert is also survived by his 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, with one on the way. He was born in Cambridge on May 15, 1931, son of the late Albert W. and Onnolee  (Carter) Dow, and grew up in Medford.

Mr. Dow is a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War, where he was stationed in Germany as an Intelligence Officer.

After returning home,  Albert attended Bentley College and Northeastern University.  He also attended classes at Harvard University and earned his Master’s Degree from Rutger’s University.  He worked as an Investment Broker with Wainwright Investment Council in Boston, and then later for Bank of Boston as the Vice-President of Investment Operations. 

Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware is assisting his family with arrangements. Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
