Sandra L. (Dennis) Allen

Hardwick - Sandra L. (Dennis) Allen, 81, of Hardwick, died on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Holden Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

She leaves her two loving children, her daughter, Charlene "Chellie" Allen and her husband Peter Dobrowolski and their son, Curt of Hardwick and her son, Charles "Chas" Allen and his son, Samuel also of Hardwick.  She was predeceased in 2016, by her husband of 55 years, Charles M. Allen.

Sandra worked for the Ware Co-Operative Bank as an Assistant Treasurer then as the Assistant Vice President.  She was the past President of the Western Massachusetts Institute of Financial Education and also of the Massachusetts State Chapter and served as past Secretary.  

She was proud to have served as a 4-H teacher, Sunday school teacher, and past secretary to the grandmother’s group in LaCasa.  She previously served as secretary for the Hardwick Rescue Squad,  and most recently, Secretary to the Hardwick Universalist Church.  She also loved spending the harsh winters in North Port, Florida with her late husband, Charlie.

A Graveside Service for Sandra will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 11AM in the Hardwick Cemetery in Hardwick.  There are no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Universalist Church in Hardwick, c/o Charlene Allen, P.O. Box 55, Hardwick, 01037.
