David A. McKinney

Warren - David A. McKinney, 82, of Warren died on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 in Florida surrounded by his loving family after a couragious battle with cancer.

He leaves his loving wife of 54 years, Donna H. McKinney; his three children, Kelly Fraizer and her partner William Leslie, Kristin McKinney and her partner Frederic Kozyra, and Justin McKinney and his partner Kit McShera; four beloved grandson’s, Matthew, Brandon, Jacob and James plus his loyal dog, Ollie.  He was born in Manchester CT, raised in Coventry CT, and spent the past 45 years living in Warren.

David served in the Army after high school and came home to work on the family farm, McKinney Dairy in Coventry, before moving to Warren.  He retired from Construction Services Inc. in Wilbraham, after 25 years of service.

He was an old farmer at heart who took pride in his yard.  David enjoying mowing and weed wacking and especially spending his time tinkering in his shop.  He loved traveling with this wife Donna and spending the winters in Barefoot Bay, Florida.

A Funeral Service for David will be held on Monday, September 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc, 43 East Main Street, West Brookfield.  A Calling hour will be held prior to service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  Burial will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in David’s name to the American Red Cross, Western Mass Chapter, www.redcross.org/donate or 150 Brookdale Drive, Springfield, MA.  01104.
